Vice president of development and communications Bridget Rigas stepped down from her position at the Boyce Thompson Institute in early December. Rigas served the institute since 2012 and was instrumental in laying a strong foundation for its development efforts and in broadening board membership and participation. BTI’s board, faculty and staff express their thanks for her visionary efforts and wish her the best in her future endeavors.

“We are grateful for the energy and enthusiasm that Bridget brought to her position at BTI and for the transformative changes that she enacted within the development and communications office,” said BTI President and CEO David Stern. “The organization will profit from her foundational work to bring visibility and commitment to its critical scientific mission”.

“There is much to celebrate from the communications and development growth BTI has catalyzed in recent years,” said Rigas in a statement to the faculty. “I look forward to hearing about BTI’s continued success and will forever be a stalwart supporter of the institute.”

Rigas will continue to provide support and guidance throughout the transition process. BTI has begun a search for her successor, to build and expand on her legacy. More details about the position can be found here and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
