Investigating a Component of Stress Response in Arabidopsis thaliana

My time here at Cornell has been extremely rewarding in many ways. Not only did my mentor, Ju-Chen, teach me about RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, plant growth/care, hydroponics, cDNA synthesis, and many other techniques, she also taught me a few other lessons unrelated to work. This summer I learned to be patient, trust myself, and to work hard. I am grateful for my time in OKV lab for the opportunity to try, fail, and succeed (not before failing again). At every turn, I had the resources I needed to thrive, from connections, advice, and instruction. I could not ask for a more holistic experience to foster my growth both professionally and personally.
