Christa is a senior at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. During her internship, Christa studied development of a Near Isogenic Line containing an O. rufipogon introgression in the IR64 background in rice. Christa utilized several learned lab techniques including polyacrylamide gels, gene mapping, DNA extractions, bioinformatics, and PCR.
