Katie is currently a student at the University of Evansville. During her internship Klessig lab, Katie worked under the supervision of her mentor post-doctoral associate Hong-Gu Kang. While at the BTI, Katie worked to locate and characterize the domain of CIP1 which results in HR in TCV Arabidopsis and to look at the interaction of CIP1 and CRT1. For this project, she learned bacterial culture and transformation, plant infiltration, and co-immunoprecipitation and western blots.
