Research Overview: Dr. Saha has a background in computer science, databases, omics analysis and biological data management. Over a career spanning more than ten years, he has worked with cross-matrixed teams of geneticists, molecular biologists, engineers, product development managers and software developers on a range of genomics, metabolomics, proteomics, metagenomics, microbiome and transcriptomics projects. He is a result-oriented bioinformatics scientist accomplished in leadership, project management, data integration and mining with a history of building strategic relationships with internal and external research labs and teams.
Dr. Saha has led a number of multi-institutional plant, microbial and arthropod omics projects. Most notably, he established the community data and analysis portal for citrus greening research. He also leads the AgriVectors project that is a part of Phytobiomes initiative and is focused on arthropod vectors of agricultural diseases.
