Fall STEM Teacher Workshop
Join scientists and educators at BTI for the Fall STEM Teacher Workshop on October 7–8!
Teachers will join BTI educators and scientists for this weekend workshop to discover and create effective plant biology curriculum.
Hosted by BTI’s Education and Outreach Programs, this 1.5-day workshop will highlight topics studied in BTI research labs. This workshop is an opportunity for teachers (Grades 7–12 and Community College) to learn from expert researchers in plant science, work with BTI to develop new classroom materials in collaboration with other STEM educators, and provide feedback about BTI classroom labs and professional programs. You will experience hands-on lab activities and curriculum design, tours of the research labs, seminars with BTI faculty, and plenty of time to collaborate with your fellow teachers.
Due to the short length of this workshop, this opportunity is most suitable for teachers based in New York State or within about a 200-mile radius of Ithaca. Participants can receive up to $200 to offset the costs of travel.
