Harrison is a high school student at the Roy C. Ketchum High School. He worked in the Brutnell lab under the guidance of graduate student Sarah Covshoff looking at expression of the HCF136 gene in mesophyll and bundle sheath cells in maize. For this project, Harrison learned gel electrophoresis, photography, DNA extraction and PCR.
