Melissa Wasilewski
Emily is currently a Sophomore at the University of Scranton. During her internship in the Lee lab, Melissa worked under with her mentor Gustavo Acevedo. While at BTI , Melissa worked on a two part project. Part one focused on analyzing transcription factor knockouts of Arabidopsis to determine their effects on cell-type specific gene expression and biological functions. Part two of the project was analyzing the promoter regions of genes that are highly expressed in Arabidopsis roots. During her internship, Melissa used several computer programs such as FIRE and Mutliple Experiment Viewer.
