Jesse is currently a senior at the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies in Redlands, CA. During this past summer, Jesse worked in the Kochian lab with mentor Matt Milner. Jesse”s work was involved in the molecular investigation of Cadmium Uptake and Sequestration in the Zn/Cd HyperaccumulatorT. caerulescens. In his work, Jesse learned techniques such as DNA extraction, and bacterial ligation/transformation.
