Analysis of Branching in the Lycophyte genus Selanginella

Using techniques from the molecular level and observations from the individuals as a whole, an investigation of the apical zone began. Strahler stream order analysis quantified the branching pattern using field techniques in a greenhouse-controlled experiment. Lipid transfer proteins (LTPs), which serve as an indicator for subordination of the meristems in maize, were targeted in an in situ hybridization.
