Mandy is a student at the University of Delaware. In the Brutnell lab, Mandy’s summer internship focused on identifying, isolating, and cloning of Ds (Dissociation) elements using standard molecular techniques such as high-throughput preparation of genomic DNA from Maize leaves, Southern blotting, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and pollination of field plants under the guidence of Kevin Ahern.
