Rhiannon Bussey
Rhiannon is originally from Rochester, NY but she just graduated from Cornell University. Rhiannon is a returning student, working with Ruairidh Sawers. This year she is mentoring Michael Martin on characterizing the magnesium chelatase I-subunit. Additionally, she has been working on sequencing the entire I-subunit from maize. Rhiannon has uses DNA and RNA extractions, cDNA synthesis, PCR, and sequencing (among other techniques) for her project.
In her free time, Rhiannon likes to play the Celtic fiddle, read, and do string crafts.
