Katrice is a student at Cornell University. In the Rose lab under the guidance of Brendan Kelley, Katrice used bioinformatics to identify novel genes involved in the infection of PiE12. To do this, she learned several new techniques including RACE PCR, isolation of GST-tagged fusion proteins, gel purification, and minipreps.
