Plant Cell Imaging Center

The Plant Cell Imaging Center (PCIC) provides researchers at Boyce Thompson Institute (BTI), Cornell University, and SUNY Cortland with access to high-resolution fluorescence microscopes, including a confocal microscope with spectral and quantitative imaging capabilities. The instrumentation in the facility is optimized for the analysis of plant cellular processes, and the center is dedicated to bringing modern imaging technologies to plant biologists with all levels of expertise. Training and assistance with the use of the microscopes, software, and data analysis are provided. For more information contact PCIC.

Funding for the purchase of the microscopes was provided by the National Science Foundation Major Research Instrumentation Program (NSF DBI-0618969).

To schedule an appointment for training with microscope use, or for questions, please e-mail, call (607) 254-4436, or come to the center between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm. The facility is located on the first floor of BTI (room 104B).
