Vivian Smith
Vivian is a currently a student at Alcorn State University in Mississippi. In the Rose lab Vivian worked under the supervision of post-doctoral associate Tal Isaacson. Vivian’s project for her internship focused on mapping candidate genes associated with tomato fruit cuticle biosynthesis. During her internship, Vivian learned several lab skills including candidate gene mapping, analysis of fruit texture, and basic molecular biology techniques.
