Research Misconduct Report

This reporting tool provides you with a simple, anonymous way to confidentially report activities that may involve certain improper conduct or violations of Boyce Thompson Institute’s Policies regarding Research.

The General Corporate Allegations of Research Misconduct Policy can be viewed here on the BTI Staff Intranet (you will need to log in with your BTI account).

This reporting service does not replace or supersede existing reporting methods. The Institute strongly encourages staff and other members of the Cornell community to report concerns of misconduct regarding research matters through normal lines of communication.  The preferred channels of report are to the Director of Research and/or the Director of Human Resources.

This reporting tool should not be used for HR matters. These matters should be reported directly to BTI HR.

BTI asserts that reports submitted via this tool will be handled promptly and discreetly. No retaliatory action will be taken against anyone for reporting or inquiring in good faith about potential breaches of the Institute’s policies or for seeking guidance on how to handle suspected breaches.

Reports submitted through this tool will be given careful attention by BTI with the objective of correcting the situation being reported, once the facts have been corroborated.

To file a report, please use this form. No personal information will be collected apart from what you provide.
