BTI’s Virtual Undergraduate Professional Development Series, Summer 2020

BTI’s Virtual Undergraduate Professional Development Series, Summer 2020

Online Series Dates: 7 weeks starting June 14 – July 29, 2020

To obtain the Certificate Of Completion, students must have attended the majority of Scientific Discussions and Engagement Opportunities (8 out of 12 sessions), and met with at least one faculty member, professional, or postgrad to learn more about careers and graduate level training. Students who completed the requirements should have an increased awareness of cutting edge plant science research, increased knowledge of graduate study in plant focused fields at Cornell University, and an improved confidence in building a mentoring network virtually.

This series was developed to build community during stay at home orders and support undergraduates who experienced internship cancelations due to the pandemic (both at BTI and elsewhere). This was offered for free to students and no participant was paid to complete this series. Also, BTI does not have the ability to accredit participation in educational programs and no credit hours were issued. If you have any questions about the series or requirements, please email: internships@btiscience.org
